Overview
Martin Markowitz, M.D., Principal Investigator, Professor
The Clinical Program
of the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center is situated at the Rockefeller
University campus on York Avenue and 66th Street. All clinical activities
and services are research-related and free of charge. The setting
is both private and peaceful. Dr. Markowitz or one of his associates
routinely evaluates study subjects. Donald Garmon, ANP and the Rockefeller University Hospital Outpatient staff provide medical care and support services. While performing clinical research, we aim to provide
an atmosphere of concern and support for our study participants.
We are participants
in the Acute Infection and Early Disease Research Program (AIEDRP).
We also conduct a wide variety of studies investigating new combinations
of antiviral drugs as well as novel agents.
Clinical trials
that are now open for recruitment include:
- Combination
antiviral therapy for people who are newly
infected with HIV
- Simplified
combination antiviral therapy for HIV infected people who have
never taken any medications
If you are interested
in participating in a clinical trial at Aaron Diamond AIDS Research
Center or want more information about our AIEDRP
studies (including studies at other sites), please contact us.
