Overview
The Core Facilities
at The Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center consists of a group of regularly
used instruments available to faculty and staff for performing cellular
and molecular analysis. The facility technical staff provides routine
maintenance of instrumentation, troubleshooting, technical expertise
and operational assistance.
Instrumentation
includes state of the art systems to perform real-time PCR sequence
detection, phosphorimaging, flow cytometry, and
fluorescence restoration microscopy . Cell sorting and fluorescence
restoration microscopy systems are contained in a BSL-3 facility
for work with infectious material. In addition, software packages
are available in the facility for data display using PC, Mac, and
Silicon Graphics workstations.
